The Comminges
The Comminges, a former province of Gascony, known as "the French Tuscany", in the middle of the Pyrenees and important step in the pilgrimage of Saint-Jacques de Compostela, offers a wonderfull landscape, beautifully undulating. Land farming , cattle, sheep and ducks, the hills are dotted with meadows, forests, lakes and rivers.
Because of its location at the gates of Comminges, on the road in the Pyrenees, and close neighbor of the Gers, L'Isle in Dodon, in Haute-Garonne, is 65 kms south-west of Toulouse.
It is an ideal base for visiting nearby, on all reliefs, the discovery of houses and castelnaux, cathedrals and Gallo-Roman villas, castles and abbeys, witnessing a long history.
A more modest heritage, carefully preserved today, stake paths and delights hikers.

"Bastide" of Cologne | A "Bastide" is a new town based in the south-west France between the mid-XIII century and the mid-fourteenth-century.
Its main features are:
- a regular plan with parralleles and perpendicular streets, ordered around the central square
